Word search games are useful if you have some time to fill in before your Sunday School starts, or afterwards, when you are waiting for parents to arrive to collect their children. This can be printed out on paper for handing out to each child, or alternatively on an acetate sheet for use on an overhead projector.

These days, parents have been concerning by their kids TV addiction. Even some called the TV as “electronic babysitter” or “plug-in drug”. Studies show that people watch amazing amounts of television; in fact, children often spend more time in front of the set than in school. So what can you do if you fear that the tube is invading your life?

These are 10 tips to limit our kids’ TV viewing

1. Train the children to ask for permission to turn on the TV.
2. Turn the TV off during the meals time.
3. Do not allow children watching TV while they need to do their homework or others housework.
4. Set a good sample for the children by limiting our TV viewing too.
5. Do not allow any set of TV in our children’s room.
6. Accompany our children watching their favorite program.
7. Discuss with our children what they see on TV.
8. Turn off the TV when the selected program is over.
9. Check the TV program on the schedule guide.
10. Limit daily television watching to one hour or less for preschoolers and two hours or less for early school-aged children.

Almost everyone assumes that writing children’s books is so easy. That’s why children’s books are the most over submitted MSS in the publishing industry. But it’s less than a quarter of one percent of all submissions is ever published. I found this fact in the Robyn Opie website. She is a great children’s book writer, author of more than 60 children books. She gives some advises in her website. One of them is, she suggests us to learn various categories of children books and also recognize the different types of children’s books for different age groups. She also said that there were restrictions within these categories. If we able to recognize these, we can be focus on what story we are going to write.
