Almost everyone assumes that writing children’s books is so easy. That’s why children’s books are the most over submitted MSS in the publishing industry. But it’s less than a quarter of one percent of all submissions is ever published. I found this fact in the Robyn Opie website. She is a great children’s book writer, author of more than 60 children books. She gives some advises in her website. One of them is, she suggests us to learn various categories of children books and also recognize the different types of children’s books for different age groups. She also said that there were restrictions within these categories. If we able to recognize these, we can be focus on what story we are going to write. More complete tips can be found in her ebook, “How to Write a GREAT Children’s Book“.
